Team Building
Companies and other organisations are always looking for new ways to entertain and motivate staff and Trailnet offer a range of exciting but cost-effective solutions tailored to your specific requirements.
Examples of events and activities include:
- Treasure hunts – using the latest GPS technology, we can set a course in one of our local parks or at an appropriate site of your choice. The physical-cerebral balance of is up to you: we can offer anything from a military-style boot camp to tasks requiring Mensa-level problem solving skills. Events can be walking, cycling or mixed.
- Cycle Polo – a great way to settle inter-department rivalries by matching teams against each other in a mini tournament. The sport is a great leveller as it’s unlikely that anyone will already be an expert and the need for both good bike handling and eye-hand co-ordination means that someone who’s only skilled at one of these will take a while to become proficient.
- Scrapyard Challenge – using parts and materials at our bicycle recycling centre, teams compete against the clock to build a variety of weird and wonderful contraptions with which to undertake a specified task.
Event Support
For organisations wishing to host their own staff events we can help make this a success by providing the equipment, staff and expertise to plan, organise and manage the event. Our event services include:
- Project Management (feasibility to delivery)
- Equipment Hire (bikes; GPS; timing equipment; marquees etc)
- Event Staff
Volunteering
Engaging with their local community can pay big dividends for both private businesses and public sector groups. Our ReSpoke bicycle recycling project near Brentwood provides training and work opportunities for the long-term unemployed and others who have struggled to access mainstream education and/or paid employment.
We have a dedicated group of volunteers that support the project and can offer one-off and regular opportunities for groups wishing to undertake placements in administrative, maintenance and mechanical positions.
Training
For small businesses with a limited budget, space or facilities, staff training can be a problem. We can help with this by providing basic informal courses in the following areas:
- Health & Safety (including risk assessments)
- MS Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
- Presentation Skills
- Report Writing
- Numeracy
We can also provide facilities for you to deliver your own off-site training sessions. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
