Cycle Hire
TrailNet has worked with a number of partners including Essex County Council, Brentwood Borough Council, National Trust, Basildon Council and Sport England to establish cycle hire facilities at:
- Great Notley Country Park, Braintree
- Thorndon Country Park, Brentwood
- Hatfield Forest, Takeley
At each site we have a range of bikes and accessories available at the following prices:

For longer term hire or for details of road, triathlon or hybrid bikes, or to enquire about our specialist bikes such as our hand-cranked four-wheeler and KMX cart, please contact us. We can also hire bike boxes, bags and car-mounted bike carriers.
* We have a range of adult and child tricycles for those who can’t ride a two-wheeled bike. These are available free to those with a disability that causes balance or co-ordination problems. Please contact us for more information on these or to make a booking.

Hatfield Forest (07825 761020)
Trailnet are pleased to be working in partnership with Hatfield Forest to provide a new cycle hire facility, opening 5th May 2012. Discounts are available for National Trust members. For more information about Hatfield Forest, see their website.

Notes:
- With advanced notice we can often arrange group hires on days when we are closed. For these and other advanced bookings (recommended for all except adult bikes), please contact us.
- We require proof of identity (e.g. driving licence or passport) and either a cash or credit card deposit before you can rent any bikes.
- All rentals include the use of a helmet, which we strongly recommend that all riders (especially children) wear whilst riding.
- All bikes and equipment must be returned by 16:00 unless otherwise agreed.
