Family Fun Ride (10:00 - 12:00)

The day starts with a Family Fun Ride / Treasure Hunt where you'll be given a map of the Park and the locations of a number of checkpoints. At these checkpoints you'll find a series of questions, the answers to which will help you solve a final puzzle. All youngsters on the successful teams will get a small cycling-related prize.

The total length of this ride is only 3 miles and the course will be suitable for all ages, with no major hills. You'll get the chance to ride the fields and trails of One Tree Hill, including some areas that are being opened up to cyclists just for the day. Entry to the Fun Ride is free thanks to the generosity of Herongate Cycles who are sponsoring the event.

You can enter in advance or between 09:30 and 11:00 on the day. The course will open at 10:00, and the last riders must set off before 11:00. The course will close at 12:00

Hill Climb Challenge (11:00 - 12:00)

For those of you with some energy to spare, there’s the chance to show off your hill-climbing skills with a 500m timed climb up One Tree Hill. This is a real test of legs and lungs and as an extra incentive there will be cash prizes this year for the fastest male, female and junior riders.

Entries on the day are only £1 per ride and you’re welcome to make as many attempts as you like. Registrations for the hill climb will open at 10:30

HELMETS COMPULSORY FOR ALL RACES!

Under 12s Enduro (20 Mins)

For the youngsters we have a 20 minute fun event around the main field. This will provide a challenge whilst keeping the kids within full view of their parents and the multi-lap course will make sure they get plenty of encouragement, with help never being far away if required.

Start time: 13:00 Cost: £3 in advance / £5 on the day

HELMETS COMPULSORY FOR ALL RACES!

MTB Enduro (14:00 - 16:00)

Older riders have the option of either a 1 or 2 hour Enduro where the aim is to complete as many laps as possible within those times. Both events use the same specially constructed circuit, featuring hard-packed paths, grass fields and single track.

Langdon Hills and Thurrock Council have kindly agreed to open up parts of this course that are normally closed to bikers so come and make the most of this unique opportunity.

All race category winners will receive prizes courtesy of Heron Cyclesport and other sponsors.

Age categories are:

Juvenile (aged 12-14): Cost £7 in advance / £10 on the day

Youth (aged 15-16): Cost £7 in advance / £10 on the day

Junior (aged 17-18): Cost £10 in advance / £15 on the day

Senior (19-39): Cost £10 in advance / £15 on the day

Veteran (40+): Cost £10 in advance / £15 on the day

Option of 1 or 2-hour Enduro for all categories except Juvenile (1-hour only).
